1. Design and implement long- and mid-term LSS investigation programs of the city;
2. Propose and implement BMLSSB annual investigation plans and budgets;
3. Mobilize and evaluate investigations of BMLSSB divisions and offices, as well as LSS bureaus of districts and counties;
4. Investigate and report various LSS important issues and challenges;
5. Compare LSS investigation reports of the city, award prizes to the excellence, and publish good reports. Submit perfect investigations of its choice to its superior organizations;
6. Coordinate investigation between BMLSSB and superior organizations; apply for investigations as well as their funds;
7. Work with Beijing Association for Labor Studies to organize non-governmental resources conducting study on specific issues of LSS science and promote the deployment of achievements from such studies; and
8. Work with Beijing Association for Labor Studies to operate Beijing Labor.
